When should I practice a Facial Yoga Plan?
Ideally first thing in the morning 5 times a week or at night before going to bed. If you practice it in the morning, your face muscles will wake up and you’ll be more aware of their movements during the rest of the day. Most of us have facial expressions that produce wrinkles, meaning, frowning and smiling. Practicing it in the morning may help you to break bad habits because we strengthen the muscle and we avoid the exacerbation of the facial expressions. If you do not have enough time in the morning or during the night, you could practice it during the day; you can do it in the car, at your office, on your house sofa, before taking a shower, many of the exercises are very simple and will not take more than 10 minutes per day. You only need to take them into your daily routine and make them simple and mild; you will immediately see the results.
What if I cannot move my face muscles?
In the beginning it is normal, maybe you have never moved some muscles consciously, sometimes you will ask yourself if you have that muscle, but keep calm, you can be sure you have it. The key is not to go fast and concentrate well in the zone you working on and start practicing it day by day. Once your brain detects the movement it will not forget it. The moment you start moving the muscle you will see the results.
How often should I practice the Facial Yoga Method to see the results?
Some people see the results immediately, even after just one practice! But after 4 weeks practicing most of the people are going to see the results. Take into account that the measuring of the facial changes is very different from other body changes that are easy to follow with scales and other devices made for measuring. The results on your face are much subtler and they will start slowly showing. That is why; to be able to compare you must take pictures where you can appreciate the differences.
Do I have to do all the postures every day?
To obtain the best results, it is important that you do the whole routine daily. If the only thing you want to do is to reinforce a specific area you must practice that area 5 times a week. As everything, once you get used to it and develop the habit of exercising your face, the body itself will ask you to exercise it daily. You should practice a little bit every day.
I like some postures from the exercise routine, but some other I do not like them very much. Do I have to practice all the postures?
Of course no, it is not mandatory to practice them all. You can choose the postures that suit you and your body the best. Nevertheless, as when you exercise your body, following a complete Facial Yoga Plan exercise routine will make you achieve results with greater precision. If they feel uncomfortable but do not damage your body, try to introduce them little by little to your daily routine if you want to achieve better results.
If I practice the Facial Yoga Plan will I have more wrinkles?
The answer is no. The repetitive movements like facial expressions that we do naturally, can cause non-desired wrinkles, but if you move the muscles in an appropriate way it will prevent the wrinkles from appearing. This happens because we do the movements in seconds and they are very specific and they are meant to tone the muscle. To make sure that you are using the correct muscles and moving them correctly, when you start you should practice in front of a mirror until you control the exercise well. There are more possibilities of having wrinkles due to stress because we make many faces, but Facial Yoga tones up, relaxes the facial muscles and oxygenates your face skin.
My face feels different after practicing the Facial Yoga Plan routine, is this normal?
Yes, it is pretty normal. It means that the facial muscles are working, those you are not used to be moving. Listen to your body because you are the one who knows it the best and if you feel too much pain or an intense sensation take a break and execute the exercise slower until your muscles familiarize with the movements and little by little increase the endurance and frequency of the exercise.
How much time do I have to spend on each posture?
In the videos you will find the explanation of each of the exercises. Each posture has its own indications. Some of them have more repetitions than others and they are generally accompanied with breathing patterns.
I have Botox, can I practice the Facial Yoga Plan?
Yes you can. One of the benefits of the Facial Yoga Plan is that you can practice it combining it with other facial treatments. Nevertheless, you must understand that Botox paralyzes the facial muscles movements, so it can be hard to make the movements in the subsequent days to the botox treatment. If you find yourself uncomfortable while doing the exercises, stop the practice and ask your doctor. Remember to always have your skin well hydrated so it is more flexible.
